Multiple forest fires across Turkey have been brought under control over the past week, according to official updates. Fires in Bilecik, Balıkesir, Kütahya, Istanbul's Sultangazi Kent Ormanı, İzmir Çeşme, Eskişehir, Antalya, Hatay Dörtyol, and Kırklareli were all reported as contained between July 1 and July 9, 2025. Notably, the Balıkesir region experienced repeated incidents, including a fire in the Sındırgı district that was also controlled. The fires affected both forested and agricultural areas but have not been reported to cause ongoing threats as of the latest reports.
