Turkish social-media personality Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, known online as “Testo Taylan,” was briefly taken into custody on 16 July in the Körfez district of Kocaeli after allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old neighbour. The incident reportedly occurred outside his family’s home in the Tütünçiftlik neighbourhood, where the child and a group of friends had been gathering. Police brought Danyıldız to the Tütünçiftlik station for questioning on suspicion of physical assault. He was released after giving a statement, pending any further legal action. The child’s family has filed a formal complaint with local authorities. In a statement posted on his social-media channels, Danyıldız said youths had repeatedly harassed him and his family, including entering the property, ringing the doorbell and shouting insults. He acknowledged losing his temper during the latest confrontation and said he "should have shown more patience."
