The Television Academy unveiled the five contenders for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, naming Sterling K. Brown ("Paradise"), Gary Oldman ("Slow Horses"), Pedro Pascal ("The Last of Us"), Adam Scott ("Severance") and Noah Wyle ("The Pitt"). Brown collects his 11th career nomination—and seeks a fourth statuette—while Pascal earns his fourth Emmy nod, and second for his portrayal of Joel Miller. The winners will be announced during the Emmy ceremony on 14 September 2025 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, broadcast by CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
