Lego used San Diego Comic-Con 2025 to unveil two nostalgia-heavy sets aimed at adult builders. The headline release is a 2,953-piece Batman Arkham Asylum model priced at US$299.99. The three-storey build includes 16 minifigures—from Batman and Robin to The Joker and Poison Ivy—plus an inmate transport van. Although marketed primarily as a display piece, its modular sections allow the set to double as a 24-day advent calendar. Lego Insiders can purchase the set from 9 September, with a broader Lego Store launch on 12 September. The company also introduced an officially licensed Nintendo Game Boy replica. The 421-piece kit recreates the 1989 handheld at near-actual size and ships with brick-built cartridges for Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Priced at US$59.99, the Game Boy opens for pre-orders immediately and is scheduled to ship on 1 October. Comic-Con attendees were given an early look at additional 2025 releases, including Stranger Things BrickHeadz and a six-set Wicked lineup, underscoring Lego’s strategy of coupling pop-culture anniversaries with adult-targeted collectibles ahead of the holiday season.
