Nintendo has unveiled a new bundle that pairs its recently launched Nintendo Switch 2 console with a digital copy of the forthcoming action-RPG Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The package, priced at $499.99, ships on 16 October 2025—the same day the game is scheduled to release on both Switch 1 and Switch 2—and will be sold through Nintendo’s online store and selected major retailers in North America, Europe and Japan. Pre-orders open on 23 July, and buyers will save roughly $20 compared with purchasing the hardware and software separately. The bundle is the second formally announced for Switch 2, following an earlier Mario Kart World offering, and does not feature special console artwork. Nintendo appears to be standardising the practice of coupling a full-game download with its new hardware as it builds the platform’s library ahead of the holiday season. Pokémon Legends: Z-A received fresh exposure during the latest Pokémon Presents broadcast, which introduced Mega Dragonite—the franchise’s first new Mega Evolution in more than a decade—and detailed raid-style encounters against “Rogue” Mega-evolved Pokémon in Lumiose City. The trailer also spotlighted support characters from Team MZ and confirmed enhanced resolution and frame rates for the Switch 2 edition.
