Atari and Bandai Namco have announced a series of products to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the iconic video game character Pac-Man. A highlight of the celebration is the release of the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition, featuring a distinct yellow console and joystick, available for preorder starting July 23 at a price of $169.99. Additionally, the Pac-Man: Double Feature 7800 game cartridge is available for preorder on Amazon for $34.99. Atari also offers a Pac-Man 2600+ Anniversary Edition and a CX40+ Joystick Red Ghost Edition for preorder. In a separate development, Atari is set to acquire an 82.6% stake in the Thunderful Group, known for titles such as SteamWorld, ISLANDERS, Lost in Random, and Vampire's Fall, through a €4.5 million ($5.19 million) investment amid company restructuring and layoffs.
