Netflix will launch the third season of its reality-dating competition “Perfect Match” on Aug. 1, releasing the first six episodes that day, three more on Aug. 8 and a finale on Aug. 15. The staggered rollout mirrors the strategy the streamer has used for other unscripted titles as it looks to generate sustained viewer engagement. The new cast again draws on familiar faces from multiple franchises. Former Bachelor lead Clayton Echard and his ex-contestant Rachel Recchia headline the 22-person lineup, setting up an on-screen reunion three years after their stint on ABC’s flagship dating show. They are joined by Love Island USA alumni Justine Ndiba, Scott van-der-Sluis, Carrington Rodriguez and Ray Gantt, alongside contestants from Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, The Ultimatum and other Netflix series. Nick Lachey returns as host. “Perfect Match” pits contestants against each other in compatibility challenges, allowing winning couples to send rivals on dates with new arrivals before one pair is ultimately crowned the most compatible. The series forms part of Netflix’s expanding unscripted slate, which also includes recent orders such as South Korea’s “Better Late Than Single.”
