Netflix has released the official trailer for the second half of Wednesday’s sophomore season, revealing that fan-favorite Principal Larissa Weems—presumed dead at the end of Season 1—will reappear as a spirit guide to the title character. Gwendoline Christie reprises the role, joining Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams as the pair confront escaped antagonist Tyler and further secrets of the Addams family. The new trailer arrives three weeks before the final four episodes land on the streaming service on 3 September 2025. Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said in an accompanying interview that “nobody in our world is truly dead,” hinting that additional characters could return in future installments. Netflix has already commissioned a third season, with industry listing Production Weekly indicating filming could begin as early as the second quarter of 2026. Gough and Millar said the creative team is focused on maintaining momentum while expanding the Nevermore Academy universe.
