Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” a day after unveiling the season’s initial poster. The marketing push coincides with the series’ ninth-anniversary week, underscoring the streamer’s effort to build momentum for one of its most watched franchises. The eight-episode concluding run will be rolled out in three parts: Volume 1 on 26 November (four episodes), Volume 2 on 25 December (three episodes) and a single-episode finale on 31 December. All instalments will land at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, giving Netflix a marquee title across the U.S. holiday period. Set in the autumn of 1987, the season follows the Hawkins group as they search for the vanished Vecna while the government places the town under military quarantine and renews its hunt for Eleven. The core ensemble—Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and David Harbour—returns, joined by “Terminator” star Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay. Created by the Duffer Brothers, “Stranger Things” became a key driver of Netflix subscriptions after its 2016 debut and has since collected more than 70 major awards. The staged release of its final season is designed to stretch subscriber engagement through year-end while closing one of the platform’s signature properties.
