Ukraine has unveiled and begun mass production of its domestically-produced long-range cruise missile, the "Flamingo," which reportedly has a range of up to 3,000 kilometers and carries a warhead weighing approximately 1,000 to 1,150 kilograms. The missile, capable of striking deep into Russian territory including targets west of Omsk and behind the Ural Mountains, has undergone successful tests and combat launches against Russian forces. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the Flamingo as the country's most successful missile development. Production is currently underway at the Fire Point defense company, with one missile produced per day and plans to increase output to seven missiles daily by October 2025. The missile weighs around six tons, flies at speeds up to 950 km/h (approximately 590 mph), and reaches altitudes of about 5 kilometers. The Flamingo's deployment marks a strategic shift in the geography of the conflict, enhancing Ukraine's deep strike capabilities against Russian military sites. Additionally, Ukraine's Fire Point startup is mass-producing long-range FP-1 drones, which constitute 60% of strikes inside Russia and cost $55,000 each, with production increasing from 30 units per month.
