FromSoftware continues to expand and challenge players of Elden Ring Nightreign with the introduction of new enhanced bosses known as Everdark Sovereigns. The first enhanced boss appeared unexpectedly, followed by the announcement of Fulghor, Champion of the Nightglow, who was released on June 26 as the second enhanced Everdark Sovereign. While Fulghor was designed to increase difficulty, some players found the fight manageable due to a powerful in-game relic. Subsequent additions include the Darkdrift Knight and a duo of bug-themed bosses, though the latter has experienced technical issues. To maintain player engagement, FromSoftware has reintroduced the original three Everdark Sovereigns for limited-time rematches ahead of new boss waves. The developer has also teased four new Sovereigns slated for future release. Despite these updates, the anticipated duo mode for boss fights has not yet been implemented. The upcoming bosses, expected by the end of July, are anticipated to present the toughest challenges in the Nightreign expansion.
