Ubisoft has outlined a summer content roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, anchored by the Claws of Awaji story expansion that will arrive on 16 September. The downloadable content adds a new region, additional weapons and abilities, fresh enemy factions and bosses, and more than 10 hours of gameplay. The expansion is free for players who pre-ordered the title and will be sold separately to others. Ahead of the DLC, a long-requested New Game Plus mode will launch on 29 July. The feature lets players restart the campaign while retaining character levels, gear and hideout progress. As part of that update, the maximum character level rises to 80 from 60, accompanied by new knowledge ranks, forge upgrades and extra achievements. A separate quality-of-life patch slated for early September will introduce options to change the time of day, fully clear map fog after viewpoint synchronisation and uncap cut-scene frame rates on PC. Ubisoft said Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released in March, has surpassed 5 million players and continues to perform in line with internal expectations.
