The Pokémon Company on 22 July released “Pokémon Friends,” a new puzzle title for Nintendo Switch and for iOS and Android devices. The game was unveiled during the day’s Pokémon Presents livestream and became immediately available for download. Marketed as a “plush-filled” experience, Pokémon Friends offers more than 1,200 puzzles. Players solve challenges to earn yarn that can be turned into collectible plush Pokémon and used to decorate virtual rooms. Store listings indicate a free-to-start model on mobile with optional in-app purchases, while the Nintendo eShop lists a Basic Pack at US$9.99, with other regional listings showing up to US$15.99 for bundles that add extra puzzle packs. The cross-platform launch extends the company’s strategy of pairing mobile and console releases ahead of the October debut of flagship title Pokémon Legends Z-A. Daily puzzle updates and additional downloadable content are planned to keep engagement high.
