The Pokémon Company has enlisted Aardman Animations—the British studio behind Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep—to produce a new stop-motion television series titled “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu.” The project was unveiled during a Pokémon Presents livestream on 22 July, accompanied by a brief teaser featuring the two titular Pokémon and a Wooloo grazing in a Galar-region field. Aardman co-founder and creative director Peter Lord said the series will place “very special Pokémon front and centre” and offer a distinctive, craft-focused perspective on the franchise. The show is slated to debut in 2027 and will be set in the Galar region, which is inspired by the United Kingdom. Further plot details and distribution plans were not disclosed.
