Google has opened its Veo 3 video-generation model to all users of the Gemini app for a limited promotion running from Friday, Aug. 22, through Sunday, Aug. 24, at 10 p.m. Pacific Time. Each account can generate up to three videos at no cost during the 48-hour window. Free customers will access the Veo 3 Fast version, which Google says renders eight-second, 720p clips with sound at twice the speed of the previous release. The tool had been restricted to paying Google AI Pro subscribers and higher tiers until now. The company added that more than 100 million videos have already been created with Veo and that monthly AI-credit allotments for AI Ultra subscribers are doubling, underscoring Google’s push to widen adoption of its generative video technologies.
