Peel Regional Police have dismantled an organized crime network responsible for over 15 violent home invasions, high-end vehicle thefts, and luxury jewelry thefts across the Greater Toronto Area. The operation, known as Project Ghost, led to the arrest of 13 individuals, including five youths, who face nearly 200 charges collectively. The group primarily used youths to scout targets and execute the crimes, which involved coordinated break-ins and car thefts that caused significant distress in the community. Additionally, Peel police arrested three individuals linked to a separate organized crime ring involved in the theft of transport trucks in the Peel Region. These actions reflect a broader crackdown on violent criminal activity in the area.
