Authorities in Brooklyn have charged nine alleged members of the violent street gang Road 2 Riches in connection with more than 10 shootings. The New York Police Department (NYPD) announced the takedown of the gang, which had terrorized neighborhoods with gun violence and boasted about murders on social media. This operation is part of a broader NYPD effort this year that has resulted in over 40 gang takedowns, more than 300 arrests, and the recovery of over 230 illegal firearms. The Brooklyn District Attorney and city officials supported the announcement, emphasizing the removal of dangerous gang members from the streets. Separately, law enforcement in Florida arrested 28 biker gang members on rioting charges, and the Metropolitan Police Department reported hundreds of arrests along with drug and gun seizures during an operation called Rolling Thunder.
