Toronto Police Probe Fatal Shooting in Yorkdale Mall Parking Lot

Toronto police say a man in his twenties was fatally shot in the parking lot of Yorkdale Shopping Centre just after 6 a.m. on Thursday. Officers were called to the mall, located near Highway 401 and Dufferin Street, following reports of multiple gunshots. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told local media they heard five to ten shots, describing the incident as resembling a drive-by attack. Investigators believe the shooter or shooters fled in a vehicle. The homicide and missing persons unit has taken charge of the case.
