Atlus and partner Black Wings Game Studio said they will speed up the release cadence for story chapters, characters and events in “Persona 5: The Phantom X” to bring the newly launched global version in line with the Chinese edition that has been available for more than a year. The developers announced the change during a 9 July livestream outlining the game’s Version 1.1 update. The faster schedule will add new environments and balance tweaks, though the companies did not give detailed timing or outline how the adjustments will affect in-game economics. The free-to-play gacha role-playing title debuted worldwide on 26 June 2025 for iOS, Android and PC. Atlus said initial reception has met expectations, but some players worry a compressed timetable could accelerate power creep or make limited-time events harder to complete. The studio indicated it may revise rewards and banner lengths as the rollout progresses.
