Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment announced that their 2023 open-world shooter "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" will receive a substantial free update on 5 December 2025, the game’s third anniversary. The patch introduces an optional third-person perspective, a New Game+ mode that carries over players’ inventories and skills, and a fresh skill tree and gear tier designed to confront tougher enemies. The update also delivers a series of quality-of-life improvements, building on earlier post-launch additions such as a 40-frames-per-second console setting and the story packs "The Sky Breaker" and "Secrets of the Spires." Ubisoft timed the release to precede "Avatar: Fire and Ash," the franchise’s third film slated for cinema release on 19 December 2025.
