Authorities in Miami-Dade County arrested Daysnel Hernandez, a 41-year-old man, on charges related to the sexual assault of a homeless woman. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, Hernandez attacked the woman in broad daylight near a strip mall in West Miami-Dade by hitting her on the head with a rock and holding a screwdriver to her neck before sexually assaulting her. He subsequently attacked a hotel employee before his arrest. The victim had reportedly been offered a place to stay by Hernandez prior to the assault. Separately, a Miami therapist was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two female patients at a treatment facility, and a Miami man bonded out of jail after being accused of attempting to pay a 15-year-old girl $2,000 for sex. Additional unrelated incidents include a burglary and sexual assault in California and a road-rage related attack in Ohio.
