Pasadena police have opened a death investigation after an employee discovered the body of an adult man inside a donation bin at a Goodwill store on South Fair Oaks Avenue around 11 a.m. Tuesday. The man, believed to be in his 30s and possibly homeless, was found wrapped in a blue tarp and blanket. Officers said there were no obvious signs of trauma and indicated the death may be drug-related, although the exact cause remains undetermined. The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner is working to identify the victim and will conduct an autopsy. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and examining donated items for additional evidence.
