Delhi Police have launched an investigation after four bodies were discovered on 5 July inside a residence in Dakshinpuri, a densely populated neighbourhood in South Delhi. Officers reached the scene after neighbours raised an alarm and found the victims—two men and two women, according to officials—lying unresponsive in a single-room dwelling. A preliminary inspection indicates the deaths may have been caused by suffocation, but detectives have not ruled out foul play. The premises have been sealed for forensic examination, and post-mortem reports have been requested to determine the exact cause and time of death. Police said they are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area and questioning local residents to reconstruct the victims’ final movements. The identities of the deceased have not been released pending notification of relatives. Senior officers said additional details would be shared once autopsy findings are available and initial witness statements are corroborated.
