Tempe police officers completed a Grubhub pizza delivery after arresting the original driver during a July 4 traffic stop, the department said. Body-camera video shows two officers bringing the order to a residential customer shortly after the driver was taken into custody. The motorist was pulled over on suspicion of reckless driving and racing and was subsequently charged, authorities added. The officers, confirming the customer’s identity at the door, handed over the pizza and side items to ensure the order was not wasted. Footage of the interaction, published by the Tempe Police Department on July 12, quickly circulated on social media, drawing widespread attention to the officers’ improvised service. Grubhub has been contacted for comment on the incident.
