The Wall Street Journal reported that a leather-bound album prepared for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th-birthday party in 2003 contained a risqué, type-written note bearing Donald Trump’s name and framed by the outline of a naked woman. The album was assembled by Epstein’s then-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, and included contributions from other prominent figures, the paper said. Trump quickly denied writing the letter, describing the story as “false, malicious and defamatory.” In posts on his Truth Social platform he said he would sue the Journal, its parent News Corp. and owner Rupert Murdoch. A spokesperson for the newspaper declined to comment, and Reuters said it could not verify the document’s authenticity. The disclosure adds to renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s contacts with high-profile politicians after the Justice Department this month said it found no evidence of a long-rumored client list. The Journal has since reported that former President Bill Clinton also penned a note for the birthday album, though Clinton’s office has not commented.
Trump has suggested someone else could have wrote letter to Epstein and used his name, per Rolling Stone.
