Tesla has officially launched its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised feature in Australia and New Zealand, marking the first expansion of this technology outside North America. The rollout will begin with Hardware 4 (HW4) Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, with staged deployment planned. Every new Tesla sold in Australia will include a 30-day free trial of FSD Supervised for customers to test the system on public roads. The outright purchase price for FSD in these markets is set at $10,100, with subscription pricing yet to be announced. The FSD feature is capable of driving from a driver's front door to their destination without manual steering input. In addition to the FSD rollout, Tesla has launched the new Model Y Performance in Europe. The updated Model Y Performance starts at £61,990 in the UK, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, and offers a range of approximately 360 miles (WLTP). It features a top speed of 155 mph and 460 bhp dual-motor all-wheel drive with Performance 4DU drive units. The new Model Y Performance benefits from high-density battery cells that provide slightly more range compared to the previous version, with an EPA estimated range of about 308 miles, just 1% lower than the Long Range variant. This launch represents Tesla's continued efforts to expand its advanced vehicle technologies and performance offerings in key international markets.
