In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, police prevented MP Chandrashekhar Azad, leader of the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and founder of the Bhim Army, from visiting Isota village to meet the family of a deceased youth. This action led to protests by his supporters, who engaged in vandalism, including damaging police vehicles and throwing stones. The unrest prompted swift police response, resulting in the arrest of over 50 supporters for rioting and vandalism. Authorities have seized more than 40 motorcycles linked to the disturbances and are considering invoking the National Security Act (NSA) against those involved. Police have stated that the situation is now under control, with increased patrolling and surveillance in the area to prevent further lawlessness. Chandrashekhar Azad has distanced himself from the actions of the protesters, asserting that his party workers were not involved in the violence.
