President Droupadi Murmu commenced a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh by attending the 11th convocation ceremony of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) in Bareilly, where she awarded 24 medals and 576 degrees. She highlighted the increasing role of women in veterinary sciences during her address. Upon arrival in Bareilly, she was received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Subsequently, President Murmu traveled to Gorakhpur, where she offered prayers at the Gorakhnath Temple in the presence of the Governor and Chief Minister. On July 1, she inaugurated the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Uttar Pradesh’s first AYUSH university, which will serve as a center for education and treatment in traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy. During the inauguration, she emphasized the scientific basis of ancient Indian systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, and Siddha, and praised the spiritual legacy of the region and the public service of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The event was attended by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
