A tin shed collapsed at Bageshwar Dham in Garha village, Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, on July 3, 2025, resulting in the death of one devotee and injuries to several others. The deceased, identified as Shyamlal Kaushal from Ayodhya, was visiting with his family for Baba Bageshwar's birthday celebrations when the incident occurred around 8:15 AM during the morning aarti. The collapse caused a stampede among devotees who had gathered under the shed, which was weakened by ongoing heavy rain. Four to eight people were reported injured, with some sustaining head injuries; all were admitted to the district hospital for treatment and are in stable condition. Police have launched an investigation and increased security measures, deploying 500 officers in shifts to ensure safety at the site. Civil Surgeon Sharad Chaurasia confirmed the treatment of the injured and the death of the individual struck by a metal angle from the shed.
