Israel’s Ministry of Defense has placed a large-scale order with state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries to accelerate serial production of Arrow air-defense interceptors. The contract, announced on 17 July, is intended to expand inventories of the long-range, exo-atmospheric missile system after its strong operational performance in recent engagements against threats from Iran and Yemen’s Houthi militia. The agreement was signed by the Israel Missile Defense Organization under director Moshe Patel and will fund a “significant additional amount” of Arrow interceptors, the ministry said. No financial terms or delivery schedules were disclosed, but officials described the move as a major step toward bolstering readiness for future missile attacks.
