He condemned the EU’s inaction in the face of what he termed ongoing war crimes and human rights violations by Israel, highlighting the European Council’s recent decision not to address Israel’s breaches of the human rights clause in the EU-Israel Association Agreement. Borrell characterized this lack of response as a de facto decision to allow continued violations and suffering in Gaza.
