The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted multiple targeted airstrikes in southern Lebanon over recent weeks, eliminating several key Hezbollah commanders involved in directing attacks against Israel and rebuilding the militant group's military capabilities. On June 28, the IDF killed Hassan Mohammad Hamoudi, Hezbollah's anti-tank missile unit commander in the Bint Jbeil area, who led numerous anti-tank missile attacks during the conflict. Later the same day, Abbas al-Hassan Wahbi, chief of intelligence in Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, was killed in a strike in the Mahrouna area; Wahbi was involved in weapons transfers and efforts to restore Hezbollah's operational capabilities. On July 7, Ali Abd al-Hassan Haidar, a Radwan Force commander who promoted terror activities against Israeli civilians and forces, was killed in the Deir Kifa area. On July 9, Hussein Ali Muzhir, Hezbollah’s senior fire control commander in the Zahrani sector responsible for directing multiple rocket attacks and rebuilding artillery capabilities, was eliminated in a strike near Al Babliyeh. Most recently, on July 10, Muhammad Jamal Murad, Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the coastal sector near Mansouri, was killed; he was responsible for numerous rocket launches against Israel and had been working to restore Hezbollah's coastal artillery network. The IDF stated these operations are part of ongoing efforts to remove threats to Israel and highlighted that the militants’ activities violate existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
