Israeli airstrikes and helicopter attacks have targeted multiple residential areas across Gaza City and the Gaza Strip between August 24 and 26, 2025, resulting in numerous casualties among Palestinian civilians, including children and infants. Key locations affected include Al-Jalaa Street, Al-Karama neighborhood near Al-Karama Hospital, Al-Nuseirat Camp, Al-Saftawi area, Al-Bassa Street in Deir Al-Balah, Al-Mawasi west of Khan Yunis, Al-Sabra neighborhood, and the displacement tent of a family in Al-Mawasi. Rescue efforts by civil defense teams have recovered bodies and saved some survivors despite limited equipment. Among the casualties are at least seven Palestinians killed in Al-Sabra, five members of a single family killed in Al-Mawasi, and multiple fatalities and injuries in other neighborhoods. Infants and young children have been critically injured or killed in these strikes, with medics attempting urgent care. The strikes also included artillery shelling in northern and eastern Gaza City. The ongoing attacks have caused destruction to homes and displacement shelters, exacerbating the humanitarian situation in the region.
