Amazon MGM Studios has expanded the ensemble for its new feature version of “The Thomas Crown Affair,” bringing in Danai Gurira, Lily Gladstone and Kenneth Branagh to join previously announced stars Michael B. Jordan and Taylor Russell. Jordan is directing, starring and producing through his Outlier Society banner. Veteran producer Charles Roven (“Oppenheimer,” “The Dark Knight”) has boarded the romantic heist thriller via Atlas Entertainment. Drew Pearce wrote the latest script, building on an earlier draft by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson. Principal photography begins this week in London. The project marks the third screen iteration of the story first filmed in 1968 and remade in 1999. Amazon MGM has slated an exclusive theatrical release for 5 March 2027.
