DJ-producer John Summit is launching a new electronic dance-music event, the Experts Only Festival, set for 20–21 September on New York City’s Randall’s Island. The two-day gathering will mark the first major EDM festival in the city since Electric Zoo folded in 2023, with organizers projecting a combined 50,000 attendees. Summit will headline both nights and has curated a lineup that includes Kaskade performing back-to-back with Cassian, Green Velvet with Layton Giordani, LP Giobbi, DJ Seinfeld, Kasablanca, Pete Tong and other acts from his Experts Only label. Music will run across two stages built on the former grounds of Governors Ball and Electric Zoo. The festival is produced in partnership with promoters Medium Rare, Relentless Beats and EMW. General-admission tickets start at $119.99, VIP passes at $299.99 and platinum packages at $799.99; sales open on 11 July. One dollar from every ticket will benefit Femme House, a nonprofit supporting equity for women and other under-represented groups in dance music.
