Authorities in northern New Mexico are searching for Melissa Casias, an employee of Los Alamos National Laboratory who has been missing for more than a week. Family members say the 32-year-old mother disappeared after dropping off lunch for her elementary-school-aged daughter on 28 June. Local law-enforcement agencies, volunteers and search-and-rescue teams have combed surrounding areas but have not found significant leads. Investigators have not indicated evidence of foul play, and no suspects have been named. Casias was last seen driving a silver Toyota RAV4 and was wearing a blue lab-coat jacket, according to relatives. Anyone with information has been urged to contact the New Mexico State Police.
