On the government side, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Arabia's Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki and extended condolences at the Iranian Embassy over casualties from Israeli aggression. Shehbaz Sharif also chaired a weekly review meeting on Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reforms, praising a 42% increase in federal tax revenue for the fiscal year 2024-25, the highest in a decade. Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to attend the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization summit in Baku, Azerbaijan. Other political activities included meetings between Shehbaz Sharif and leaders from Pakistan Muslim League-N and Awami National Party to discuss national issues.
