Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif conducted surprise inspections of healthcare facilities and flood-affected areas in early July 2025. On July 2, she visited a field hospital near Murree, reviewing the available medical facilities. On July 4, she made an unannounced visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Pakpattan, where she inspected various wards, the medical store, and the laboratory. During this visit, patients and their families raised complaints regarding mismanagement, negligence, and lack of proper services despite the availability of medicines. In response, Maryam Nawaz reprimanded the hospital administration, ordered the registration of a case, and subsequently dismissed the hospital's CEO. Later in July, she chaired a meeting in Lahore focused on modernizing the health sector and improving medical services for the public. On July 19, she conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Chakwal and Jhelum districts. On July 22, Maryam Nawaz participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, emphasizing the importance of resisting fear and greed, and expressing commitment to eradicating drug abuse in the province.
