Google has added a feature called Storybook to its Gemini AI app, allowing users to generate 10-page illustrated children’s books that include text and optional read-aloud narration. The tool creates a story from a simple prompt, lets users specify art styles ranging from claymation to comics, and can draw on photos or files supplied by the user to personalise characters and settings. Finished books can be shared digitally or downloaded for printing, and the narration can be played in higher- or lower-pitched voices. Storybook is available immediately at no charge on both mobile and desktop versions of Gemini in more than 45 languages, underscoring Google’s broader push to weave generative AI capabilities into mainstream consumer services.
