RuPaul secured his 10th consecutive nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program on Tuesday, pushing him past Heidi Klum and Tom Bergeron to become the most nominated reality-series host in Emmy history. The Television Academy’s latest announcement brings RuPaul’s career tally to 10 hosting nods and 14 overall Emmy wins, already the most for any person of color. His MTV series “RuPaul’s Drag Race” also earned its ninth straight nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, part of a broader haul of 10 nominations for the franchise this year, including recognition for directing, casting and its companion show “Untucked.” The 77th Emmy Awards are scheduled for Sept. 14 on ABC. RuPaul will compete against hosts from “Shark Tank,” “Survivor,” “Top Chef” and last year’s category winner, Alan Cumming of “The Traitors.”
