Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins in the first season of HBO Max’s medical drama “The Pitt,” will not return for Season 2, according to industry reports confirmed by Variety and Deadline. No reason for the departure was given. Collins, a senior resident introduced as pregnant through IVF in Season 1, formed a central—sometimes strained—relationship with series lead Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, portrayed by Noah Wyle. Created by ER veteran R. Scott Gemmill and produced by John Wells Productions with Warner Bros. Television, “The Pitt” became one of HBO Max’s most-watched titles after its 2025 debut and holds a 95% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Season 2 is currently in production and is aiming for a January 2026 premiere. Sepideh Moafi has already joined the cast as a new attending physician, with additional recurring roles for Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Lucas Iverson and Laëtitia Hollard.
