Retailers briefly reopened orders for the $199.99 Collector’s Edition of Konami’s forthcoming remake, “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater,” on 12 August. Best Buy began taking new reservations early in the afternoon, prompting a virtual queue, while Target followed with a limited batch of pre-orders later in the day. The package has been largely sold out since first listings went live in May, and neither chain indicated how long current allocations will last. The Collector’s Edition ships alongside the standard game on 28 August for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. In addition to the Day One Tactical Edition software and Sneaking DLC Pack, buyers receive a terrarium diorama depicting protagonist Snake, a steelbook case featuring Yoji Shinkawa artwork, Snake’s ID-card lanyard and embroidered Fox and Halo Jump patches. Konami has not disclosed further production runs, leaving this week’s restock one of the few chances for consumers to secure the premium set before launch.
