Microsoft-owned Xbox Game Studios released an enhanced edition of Ninja Theory’s action-adventure title “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” on Sony’s PlayStation 5 today, marking another of the company’s first-party games to cross onto its rival’s console. The PS5 version introduces a 60-frames-per-second Performance mode, the permadeath-style Dark Rot Challenge, more than four hours of developer commentary and expanded photo-capture tools. Existing owners on Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC receive the same improvements as a free update. PlayStation users can purchase a $69.99 Deluxe Edition that bundles the newly optimised PS5 version of the original “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” and its soundtrack, while players who already bought the PS4 edition can upgrade at no extra charge. Separately, publisher Nacon released a free playable demo of its upcoming third-person adventure “Hell Is Us” on PS5. The 12.2-gigabyte trial offers the opening chapter of the game, which is scheduled to launch on 4 September. The demo is also available on Xbox and Steam.
