She asserted that “peace is the only option,” contending further arms shipments would prolong the conflict with Russia. Her stance adds to growing Republican resistance to the Biden administration’s request for more Ukraine funding. House leaders have not yet scheduled a vote on the next aid tranche, and a narrower GOP majority means even a handful of defections could complicate approval.
