Google will stage its annual Made by Google hardware showcase on 20 August in New York, with the keynote streaming globally at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The company is expected to refresh its mobile and wearable range as it intensifies competition with Apple, whose iPhone 17 launch is due in September. The centrepiece is the four-model Pixel 10 smartphone series. All devices are tipped to run the new 3-nanometre Tensor G5 processor, adding on-device Gemini AI features such as a conversational “Camera Coach”. The standard Pixel 10 is slated to gain a triple-camera array—including a telephoto lens—for the first time. The Pixel 10 Pro and larger Pro XL are expected to offer up to 1 TB of storage, higher-capacity batteries and Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. Google’s second-generation foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, is rumoured to feature a 6.4-inch cover screen, an 8-inch internal display, a reinforced hinge and—crucially—an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a first for the line. European retail leaks point to prices ranging from €899 for the base Pixel 10 to €1,899 for the Fold, while a 1 TB Fold could reach about $2,149 in the United States. Beyond phones, Google is poised to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 running Wear OS 6, with slimmer bezels and longer battery life, and the budget-focused Pixel Buds 2a, which are expected to add active noise cancellation and arrive in several new colour options.
