US President Donald Trump said he will travel to Aberdeen, Scotland, later this month to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and "refine" the bilateral trade pact the two governments struck earlier in the year. Trump told reporters the session is intended to resolve outstanding issues—including arrangements for steel—before his state visit to Britain in mid-September. He called Starmer "very respected" and suggested the talks could be held at one of his Scottish properties. The White House and Downing Street have yet to confirm a date, but the Scottish government said First Minister John Swinney also expects to confer with the president during the trip.
