A 38-year-old Armwood High School teacher was arrested after Hillsborough County detectives concluded he had shown explicit images and videos of himself to four former students and stored child pornography on his phone. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began on 9 April when an anonymous tip alleged that the teacher, Anthony Jenkins, had sent the under-age victims material depicting his own sexual acts. Detectives executed a search warrant and reported finding images of bestiality and child pornography, leading to Jenkins’ arrest on 7 July. He faces three counts of filming, distributing or possessing images of sexual activity with an animal, two counts of possessing child pornography and seven counts of distributing obscene material to a minor. Jenkins, who has been suspended since the investigation started, remains in custody while the inquiry continues. “No child should ever have to carry the weight of this kind of trauma,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said, praising the victims’ cooperation.
