Delhi authorities have begun a comprehensive review of facilities for the annual Kanwar Yatra, with state minister Kapil Mishra and Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh inspecting the full route and camp sites across the capital. Mishra said the effort follows directives from the chief minister and involves a joint team of ministers, municipal officials and local legislators. Organisers expect about 2.5 crore pilgrims to pass through or depart from Delhi this year. To handle the influx, the government plans to install grand welcome gates, set up a single-window system for permits and assistance, and expand municipal services at temporary camps. Both Mishra and Singh said the goal is to ensure a smooth and safe journey for devotees and minimise disruption for city residents.
