On August 28, 2025, supporters of Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, the national leader of Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), held a march from the Diana Cazadora roundabout to the Senate of the Republic in Mexico City. The demonstration was organized in response to a physical altercation between Moreno and Gerardo Fernández Noroña, president of the Board of Directors and a member of the Morena party. Participants carried PRI flags and banners with slogans such as "Alito no estás solo" (Alito, you are not alone) to show solidarity with Moreno. The march was also supported by the National Peasant Confederation (CNC). Authorities secured the old Senate headquarters ahead of the event. The incident included the involvement of a man named Emiliano, who was knocked down during the confrontation between Moreno and Fernández Noroña.
