In Tabasco, Sheinbaum declared herself "tabasqueña" and pledged strong support for the state, including an investment of 2 billion pesos over the next two to three years directed at the IMSS-Bienestar health sector. This commitment was made despite ongoing controversies involving former Tabasco Secretary of Security Hernán Bermúdez, who is currently a fugitive, and his alleged connections to Adán Augusto López, the former governor of Tabasco. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) defended Adán Augusto López, describing him as an honest man and dismissing accusations regarding Bermúdez as media slander. The Secretary of Government, José Ramiro López Obrador, emphasized that current investigations into these cases differ from past ones, asserting that impunity is no longer tolerated. Additionally, Sheinbaum announced that the new hospital in Tuxtepec was funded by the sale of the presidential plane, marking progress in the government's transformation agenda.
